CIOB gets new Chairman
The Ghana Centre of the Charted Institute of Building has elected Rockson Dogbegah as its Chair at a meeting held over the weekend. Mr. Dogbegah, who founded construction giant Berock Ventures, is a leading advocate in the construction industry, with the objective of sanitizing the industry and also promoting excellence.
Mr. Dogbegah, a Fellow of CIOB, has vowed to promote the brand and programs of the professional body. According to him, promoting the activities of CIOB will encourage players in the industry to aspire to attain such professional certification, which will also impact on the quality of their work as contractors or built environment professionals.
CIOB is a professional body comprising engineers, architects, quantity surveyors and project managers. It was established in the United Kingdom in 1835, but it was not until three years ago that the Ghana Centre was set up.
The new Chair of CIOB Ghana is also the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors of Ghana.
Mr. Dogbegah succeeds Prof. Edward Badu.
With over 48,000 members, the Charted Institute of Building is the international voice of the building professional, representing an unequalled body of knowledge concerning management of the total building process.
CIOB members are skilled managers and professionals with a common commitment to achieving and maintaining the highest possible standards.Back to all News Items
